Acrostic Poetry

Christmas acrostic poetry

Much happiness is brought forth today
Each and every year
Real are the emotions you will see
Rare to find an unhappy face
Yesterday’s events hold nothing on this day

Cheer is the heart felt feelings that fulfill people
Heaven; where this originates from
Rows on top of rows of joy; the feelings you normally receive this time of year
Inspiration; that’s normally the expressions that encircle you when around others
“Stars” will be “brightly shining” on this “holy night”
This is the only time each year where everyone can have a birthday party for what this day represents
Mistletoe is something you feel holly jolly to be under
And everyone enjoys saying this, one way or another;
Season’s greetings, enjoy every moment and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Symbolism of Snow

The snow which falls here on earth is beautiful to look at but can be miserable living in. It is peaceful looking at and being around. Then, in the spring the snow melts away.
I believe that the snow comes (in white), stays; collects all the “brown” then fades away after months to wash us clean; purifies us for the year. We are wiped clean each year we are here to continue on with new strength intact. The cold with the snow is needed so the action of washing clean is not instant. Washing ourselves (and parts the world) clean is a necessity so we should instead, see the snow as a symbol of peace and welcome it each year joyfully.
“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”

Life Is A Road

Life is a road
There is a definite beginning and a definite end
Each mile represents a year of life and within each mile there are bends and bumps with no option of turning back
Sometimes we have to take detours off our highway in order to gain perspective
Those detours are when we learn life’s most important lessons and sometimes they turn out to be harder than the highway itself
But once the lesson is over, we are directed safely back to our highway to deal with our challenges with new strength
And continue our journey

Martina McBride

Quicksand is a funny thing

It can pull you under in a matter of seconds

And then you are there for a long time, maybe even forever

Unless someone or something rescues you

Martina McBride’s music is like quicksand

All it takes is one song and you are pulled under

You fall in love and keep listening to her

Unlike quicksand, you are not there for just a long time

You are there forever; you’re in for life

Her music is one of a kind and it rescues you

Everyone who gets pulled under says this:

Thank-you for rescuing me

                Brain Injury= not the same

Something such as a plate can be dropped on the ground and break or, split. Yes, you can glue it back together but it will never look the same or feel smooth. Same thing if it shattered into many pieces; glue will fix it but it will never look or feel itself again.

That is exactly the way a brain injury is. In an injury, the brain can be split, twisted around or shattered apart. Rehabilitation can fix it but the person will never be the same again. They could be exactly like a plate; fixed but still show evidence of the damage somehow. The only difference is the damage to the brain injury is not visible. A person with a brain injury can recover enough to continue on with life; no matter how different and, make it worthy. It can happen.

So, if a person has had a brain injury; they are just as damaged as glass being broken. It can be repaired but will never be the same again. You never know, it could be just as beautiful as before; it will just feel different.

On loved ones

PS- I love you

I hope you are well where you are today; I’m sure you are
Today is a day we don’t want to face but sadly, on this side of life, we have to
So, it’s now been a year since you went to the other side.
We miss you like crazy and it can hurt
I hold on to this though- you are happy there as you are in no pain and are in comfort
One day, I will see you again and I can’t wait
For now, I will hold you in my heart and remember your words as the days go on
Until we meet again
Take care, God bless
PS- I love you
