Act React Play

  • a play on the Do-re-me song from The Sound of Music for a drama class

Act React Play

Let’s start at the very beginning; a very good place to start
When you read you begin with A, B, C
When you perform you begin with act, react play
(Act, react, play)
Act, react, play; the first few themes just happen to be act, react, play
(Act, react, play)
Act, react, play, speak, dress, dance, sing

Act to anyone and everything
React to actions played on you
Play for everyone to believe it’s true
Speak for all to hear you
Dress in the era and theme of the show
Dance may be used to brighten it up
Sing to make all smile

That will lead us to a great show!

The Generous Warmth of Friendship

Things you need or require come to you when you need it
That’s the same with true friends
You cannot force good friendship to come to you; it has to come on it’s on agenda
When you meet friends that are meant for you, your heart will smile
They will make you feel safe, protected and warm
You can talk about anything and everything and, feel warm inside knowing it’s going to be alright
Also, you will start to think about what you did to deserve those people in your life
Their warmth to you/for you is a gift from God
Accept them, give thanks to the Lord and continue to enjoy them
True friends will stay with you, in your heart and you will remember them forever
The Lord generously gave you the warmth of these friends for your future
Show them the love you feel from them and from God
They are blessings to you from Him to continue your journey
Be grateful for the gift and shine on

Road Maps

There are many road maps in life; besides ones used for driving. Being advised as well as our heart and soul speaking to our minds help us decide which route to take.

Some routes we go down, we end up being full of amazing awakenings into our lives. We can receive astounding friends on these journeys as well. People who join you on your travels here will most likely stay with you for a long time. They will also be with you if you ever end up turning down a bumpy road and will help you find your way back to safe roads.

We all end up turning or being forced to turn down a road that is not right to be on. Hold on, have faith and listen to your soul. Stop to get help from others to guide you back to the right direction you need to be going. These wrong turns make us more able to handle anything that can come our way. Other people that we may meet here would end up being great assets to us so we will want to bring them along with us as we get through the wrong direction and keep going the right way as without those people, we would still be going the wrong way.

It may not make sense as to why this has to happen on your road or why one person knows more but maps are funny. Some people see everything and some see nothing. Hold on tight to everything you feel; trust your gut and help others when they need directions as well. If you haven’t experienced being lost yet, it will happen to you so make sure you are paying it forward always.

You will have many road maps in your journey, make sure you hold on to these maps so you can help others later.

All the best to you on your journeys. Read your maps carefully, listen to suggestions when needed, trust God as he leads you and, enjoy the ride.

Symbolism of Snow

The snow which falls here on earth is beautiful to look at but can be miserable living in. It is peaceful looking at and being around. Then, in the spring the snow melts away.
I believe that the snow comes (in white), stays; collects all the “brown” then fades away after months to wash us clean; purifies us for the year. We are wiped clean each year we are here to continue on with new strength intact. The cold with the snow is needed so the action of washing clean is not instant. Washing ourselves (and parts the world) clean is a necessity so we should instead, see the snow as a symbol of peace and welcome it each year joyfully.
“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”

Life Is A Road

Life is a road
There is a definite beginning and a definite end
Each mile represents a year of life and within each mile there are bends and bumps with no option of turning back
Sometimes we have to take detours off our highway in order to gain perspective
Those detours are when we learn life’s most important lessons and sometimes they turn out to be harder than the highway itself
But once the lesson is over, we are directed safely back to our highway to deal with our challenges with new strength
And continue our journey

                Brain Injury= not the same

Something such as a plate can be dropped on the ground and break or, split. Yes, you can glue it back together but it will never look the same or feel smooth. Same thing if it shattered into many pieces; glue will fix it but it will never look or feel itself again.

That is exactly the way a brain injury is. In an injury, the brain can be split, twisted around or shattered apart. Rehabilitation can fix it but the person will never be the same again. They could be exactly like a plate; fixed but still show evidence of the damage somehow. The only difference is the damage to the brain injury is not visible. A person with a brain injury can recover enough to continue on with life; no matter how different and, make it worthy. It can happen.

So, if a person has had a brain injury; they are just as damaged as glass being broken. It can be repaired but will never be the same again. You never know, it could be just as beautiful as before; it will just feel different.
